I'm committed to creating inclusive, empowering experiences throughout your family-building journey. Whether you're navigating fertility treatment, pregnancy, or birth, my approach isn't about pushing one "right" way — it's about helping you discover what works best for your unique situation. I'm here to help you feel confident, informed, and genuinely supported.
Hello!
I have had the privilege of supporting families through the full spectrum of family-building experiences — from fertility journeys through postpartum.
Fertility Support
I offer compassionate guidance for individuals and couples navigating fertility treatment, including IUI and IVF cycles. Having personally experienced a 4-year fertility journey, I understand the emotional complexity, medical decisions, and need for steady support during this time. I can help you:
Understand your treatment options and prepare questions for your medical team
Navigate the physical and emotional demands of fertility treatments
Process difficult news and celebrate small victories along the way
Advocate for yourself in clinical settings
Find community and resources during what can feel like an isolating experience
Birth Support
I have worked with parents welcoming their first babies, second babies, and third babies, understanding the unique dynamics and emotions each birth order brings.
I have experience with parents through various birth paths, including spontaneous labors, medically indicated inductions, and cesarean deliveries.
While most of the families I've worked with have experienced uncomplicated pregnancies, I have also assisted parents managing gestational hypertension, preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, GBS positive status, and cholestasis. My experience includes caring for parents through "premature" rupture of membranes and water breaking during active labor. I have been present with parents whose babies required oxygen support or NICU care at birth.
I have helped clients utilize various comfort measures and pain management techniques, including hydrotherapy (birth tubs and shower), nitrous oxide, and the effective use of birth balls and peanut balls for positioning and comfort. I have worked with families choosing epidural pain relief as well as those who have had unmedicated births.
I understand Spinning Babies techniques and can guide you through movements and positions that help optimize your baby's position and open your pelvis during labor.
Beyond birth support, I have also helped clients craft their birth preferences documents, assisting you in articulating your wishes and communicating effectively with your care team.
No matter what path your journey takes — whether you're beginning fertility treatment or welcoming your third baby — I'm committed to providing continuous, personalized care that honors your preferences and helps you feel empowered throughout your experience.
I'm here for your story. I help you navigate information, understand your options, and make decisions that feel right for you and your family. Having support helps bridge the gap by providing education, advocacy, and continuous care that keeps you centered in your own experience. Let's chat to see if we might be a good fit!
“I am so grateful to have had you in the delivery room. What a high and holy experience! Thank you for your presence that made it that way…I hope hundreds of other mothers get to have you be their Doula.”

About Suzy
Suzy is a birth doula serving families from fertility through birth across NYC, Westchester, and the Hudson Valley. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she brings a unique perspective from her background in agriculture, having worked on small farms throughout the Northeast for nearly a decade. This experience shaped her understanding of natural cycles and physical stamina, qualities she now brings to her perinatal support practice.
Her yoga training and experience as a ceramic artist inform her ability to create calm in demanding situations and her embodied approach to support, helping people connect with their innate wisdom and strength throughout their family-building journey.
As a mother who navigated her own 4-year fertility journey including IVF, Suzy intimately understands the importance of continuous, compassionate care from fertility treatment through the postpartum period. When not supporting clients, she can be found hiking through the Hudson Valley's beautiful trails, doing yoga, working with a local nonprofit that works on food system issues, and playing outside with her family.
